CVR number
The CVR number is the company's identity. It sits on the invoice, it serves as the VAT number with DK in front, it is the address for e-invoices, and it is the key to the company's details in the public register. Every registered company in Denmark has one.

What is a CVR number?
CVR stands for Det Centrale Virksomhedsregister, kept by the Danish Business Authority. A company receives its CVR number when it is registered, and a sole proprietorship when it is registered on virk.dk. The number is public: name, address, industry, financial year and filed annual reports can be looked up on it. Lemon Technologies ApS, which makes Veneti, has CVR number 46667522.
If a company has several addresses, each address also has a P number, but it is the CVR number that carries the accounts, the VAT and the annual report. In EU trade the VAT number is written as DK followed by the CVR number.
CVR number in Veneti
In Veneti you find the company by name or CVR number when it is created, and name, address and financial year are fetched from the CVR register. Customers and suppliers are looked up the same way, so the invoices carry the right details. The CVR number is the company's address for e-invoices via Peppol and NemHandel, and it is the number the VAT return is filed on.
Several companies, each with its own CVR number, can sit under one user account: Multiple companies and roles.
