How to send an invoice

  1. Choose the customer

Search for the customer by name or CVR number, and Veneti fetches the name and address from the CVR register. A customer you have invoiced before is ready with their payment terms.

  2. Write the lines

Choose products from your product catalogue or write the line freely: description, quantity, price and VAT code. The invoice totals Amount excl. VAT, VAT and Total. The invoice can be written in Danish or English, and the language is fixed when it is issued.

  3. Send as PDF or e-invoice

Choose Send as a PDF by email or as an e-invoice through Peppol and NemHandel. The invoice number is assigned automatically, and the invoice is booked to receivables, output VAT and revenue in the same press. Every invoice from Veneti is gathered in the app.

The invoice template is your company’s

The invoice carries your company’s name, CVR number and address from the CVR register, your bank details for payment and the payment terms you choose: net or end of month plus a number of days, and the due date is calculated from that. A note on the invoice is written in the document itself. The customer invoice is set up from the day the company is created, so the first invoice can be sent right away. Products are created under Products with price, unit, account and VAT code, so a line only needs the quantity, and customers are looked up in the CVR register, so name and address are right from the start.

If the invoice is in a foreign currency, you choose the currency on the invoice, and the Danish central bank’s daily rate is shown beside it. The amount is booked in DKK at the daily rate, and the invoice shows the customer’s currency.

Paid and settled, without you doing anything

When the customer’s payment arrives at the bank, Veneti finds the invoice and settles it, so you can always see what remains outstanding. The Receivables report shows every customer’s balance, account statement and open items with due dates. If an invoice is overdue, you send a payment reminder from Veneti. The invoice and its PDF sit on the booked voucher, so you can always find it and send it again.

Look up the terms debtor and settlement if you want the precise definitions.

Credit notes and subscriptions

A booked invoice is not changed; it is credited. You issue a credit note in the same number sequence and settle it against the invoice with Settle.

Recurring agreements are set up as subscriptions: tick Create subscription on the invoice and choose monthly, weekly or daily. The invoice is then issued, sent and booked by itself, dated the day it goes out. Choose Manual if you would rather press Send yourself each time. The first invoice can be set to a later date, and you can pause the subscription, edit lines and payment terms, and see what the next invoice will look like. Subscriptions are in DKK.
