Data export: SAF-T, CSV and every document, also when you switch accounting software

Your data is yours

We do not try to lock you in. Exporting data and documents is easy and free, and booked records are not deleted because you leave: you can still sign in, view the accounts and download the bookkeeping as SAF-T and CSV plus all documents. If you pause your bookkeeping, we retain your data for 6 months, giving you plenty of time to take it elsewhere.

The files you can download

Every file is named by what it is, the company’s name and today’s date, for example SAF-T Booked entries and the date. Excel, CSV and SAF-T can be limited to a period; SAF-T then carries everything booked before the period as opening balances. Look up SAF-T for the format.

Every document as ZIP files

The owner or an administrator orders the export under Download → Documents on Booked entries, optionally for a period. Veneti builds the archive in the background, so it does not depend on your browser staying open, and sends an email when it is ready. The files are arranged by financial year and voucher, with journal vouchers and unattached documents in folders of their own, and the original XML sits beside an e-invoice’s PDF. Every archive ends with an index file: voucher number, date, text, amount, status, file name and the file’s checksum, so you can document that the archive is complete.

The archives are ordinary ZIP files of at most 2 GB, which any program opens. A voucher’s files are never split across two archives. You can order one export a day and download it for 14 days behind your sign-in.

Switching accounting software: in and out

If you come from e-conomic, Dinero, Billy or similar, we move all your bookkeeping free of charge within 48 hours, reconciled to the last øre. The moved history does not count towards your plan’s vouchers, and the bank takes over from the day you switch. If you go the other way, you take the bookkeeping with you as SAF-T and CSV and the documents as ZIP files. The formats are standard, so the next application can read them.

Which plans include data export?

SAF-T, CSV, Excel, documents as ZIP files and the accounts file are included in every plan, Free included. A company whose subscription has lapsed can still download SAF-T, CSV and every document as ZIP files. The monthly report and the Excel model are included in Pro+ and Max.
