Peppol
Peppol is a network, not a program. Companies join through an access point, and every access point can reach every other, so an e-invoice can be sent to any receiver on the network, in Denmark and across Europe, without sender and receiver agreeing anything beforehand.

What is Peppol?
On Peppol every participant has an address. For a Danish company it is the CVR number, and the format is Peppol BIS Billing, a common European version of the UBL standard. The sender's access point looks the receiver up in Peppol's register, sends the document to the receiver's access point and gets a receipt for the delivery. The receiver can then answer whether the invoice is accepted or rejected.
Peppol began as an EU project for public procurement and is used today between private companies as well. In Denmark it lives side by side with NemHandel, and a Danish company can be registered as a receiver on both.
Peppol in Veneti
In Veneti customer invoices are sent as e-invoices through Peppol and NemHandel, and supplier invoices are received the same way on the company's CVR number. The receiver's address is looked up before the invoice is sent, and a received invoice stands in the journal with supplier, amount and due date read. The XML original follows the voucher.
Activation happens under Integrations and registers the company as a receiver. How to do it: Guide to e-invoicing, NemHandel and Peppol.
